Outstanding late summer weather, very few other boats on the water, and good fishing is what you can expect on Lake Anna this time of year. We brought several small and keeper sized fish to the boat this evening but this big boy anchored the stringer for sure. Predictable topwater patterns are beginning to emerge for both bass and stripers creating excellent light tackle opportunities. As late summer runs into fall look for the fishing to only get better. Large weather fronts will change things for a day or two but this is an outstanding time of year to be on the water. Every day brings new opportunity to find large fish (especially crappie) coming out of deep water to fatten up for colder conditions.
