Catch BIG Lake Anna Bass

CVO is not messing around this spring. There has been a 4 pound bass caught on every outing in the last 2 weeks except for 1! The fish are gearing up for the journey to shallow water and are very healthy. The surface temps were about 50-53 in the area that I caught the limit in the picture above. A very slow presentation on pinpoint locations were the key to getting good bites. I expect the next 2 months to be incredibly good for CVO and our clients. Give us a call @ 540-287-3591 if you would like to take a swing at an early spring lunker!

Hunting for Big Bass on Lake Anna

Lake Anna Bass Fishing - March 2013
This morning we fought through some heavy downpours and strong wind while enduring a fairly slow bite.........then the wind changed.  Fish began to bite including this cow weighing in at just over five pounds!  Big fish continue to be common for those with the patience to hunt them down.  Floating-garlic scented soft plastics from Deep Creek Lures did the trick today.  If you're ready to join the hunt call Taylor and book your trip today 540.842.9155!

Spring Patterns Starting To Emerge

Lake Anna Bass Fishing - March
This time of year the weather can be gorgeous one day and miserable the next; rest assured these bass don't care.  Even though it may snow a foot tomorrow, the biological clock is ticking.  Fish will be moving out of deep water and heading for the bank this month.  The next 40 days is arguably your best opportunity to catch a Lake Anna giant.  It takes grit to withstand 45 degree rain, howling wind, and the occasional snow flurry but as the spring patters begin to play out these fish are going to put on a serious feed.  This early pre-spawn period requires concentration and perseverance. As we withstand the last few days of winter there will be fewer bites but the average size bass will be tremendous.  As the lake warms it will become more of a numbers game.  Call Taylor - 540.842.9155 to book your trip today!

March Madness!

It's finally here... March marks the beginning of my favorite time of year. There may be a couple more weeks of cold weather ahead of us, but winter can't hang on for much longer! The last couple of months have been spent traveling to shows and expos, working on equipment and waiting for MARCH!

I got out today for a few hours... It was cold & windy with the tease of spring right around the corner. Above is a picture of a couple Lake Anna Bass that couldn't resist my newly acquired plastics from Deep Creek Lures. :)

Fishing is only going to get better for the next 3 months... The calendar is filling up quickly... If you're considering going fishing with a guide this spring, now is the time to book your trip. We can accommodate large groups, kids, business outings and more. We are looking forward to catching lots of fish and having lots of fun this spring!
